11/4

Just as Macedonio Fernandez does in his novel “The Museum of Eterna’s Novel”, Jorge Luis Borges created a very similar work called “The Garden of Forking Paths.” Just as in Fernandez’s novel Borges creates a very confusing reading. It’s interesting because the words them self aren’t so complex and sophisticated it’s more the fact that he will begin speaking on one subject and that will cause him to ramble off topic on to a different subject. For example where he is speaking of things he has alongside him such as a revolver, a handkerchief and so on and then he rambles off speaking of how he remembers that a pistol shot can be heard at a considerable distance. I just feel as though he doesn’t stick to the same context of his work he puts in unnecessary sentences that add no meaning to what point or story he’s trying to convey.
