Having read borges book, it reminded me alot of eterna's novel. It moved around like the prologue sections of eterna's novel. It reminded me of the movie, "Labyrinth" with David Bowie. It is confusing as hell if you look away for more than a minute. Weaving your way through the story overcoming obstacles that shouldn't even be there in the first place. It is like the author doesn't want to read the book so he makes it so difficult to follow that you just don't want to read it anymore. Then when you are reading the book, you have a "jeez that's really david bowie" moment like most people have when you watch "labyrinth." You wouldn't think that such a rock star would make such a terrrible movie that you can't help but to watch it. Just like the book, you don't want to read it but you can't seem to put in down from your eyes.
