I found it interesting to read about Mail Art Tourism. Artists took initiative to create something new and take down previous restrictions that had been placed upon them. "Re-formed by the mail artists, these bureaucracies celebrate individuality, eccentricity and the intimate sharing of personal artworks." Tourism can become homogenized and try to create and sell a certain image people expect to see, instead of showing people how it actual is. Artists wanted to break the restrictions imposed by bureaucracies and create a place that was unique and allowed freedom.
