11/18

The idea introduced to the networked art community in which a moniker is used to secure a link between the various networked arts. While it might have been wise to to have a way to distinguish, this detail seems largely unimportant to me. The beauty of the artwork is the possibility of anyone participating in this network to create something beautiful. The existence of a moniker might have caused discrimination in the process.
One of the only remnants of this type of artwork I can think of is graffiti art. In graffiti art, every artist will have his own moniker and the moniker of his crew, and therefore acknowledges which network he belongs to.
