Reading the second part of Reznikoff's book was even more eye-opening than the first part. I would consider myself to be someone who has read or watched enough about the Holocaust to understand what happened, to a certain extent. After having read Reznikoff's unique way of telling about the Holocaust, I can say I have never before came across something this factual. It is hard to read, but knowing this was a reality for some is what is even more difficult to cope with. I was curious as to why Reznikoff decided to throw a name of one of the officers in this time. He mentions a young man, Walter, who one of the prisoners was made to help. It does mention in the back of the book that Reznikoff's goal was for people to understand the truth about what took place and the horrible circumstances the people were under. It is interesting that even though this story is based from court cases, the amount of emotion that comes from the story as a whole is incredible. Overall, Reznikoff's unique tactics really worked to get his point across.
