Poetry of the Revolution : Responses to the Avant-Garde: 10/28
I think the point of this poetry is free-floating ideas. These concepts are relevant mostly to the thoughts created in the writers head. In his first writing, his sort of manifesto, Huidobro explains the routes of creationism as sort of the death of traditional literature. He calls it poetry "in the truest sense of the word." Most of the lines in Canto IV are like metaphors relating to other metaphors. At first glance, they all seem like free-floating ideas and its possible that they are. However each block of text seems to relate back to its own central purpose. The poetry reminds me very much of the things that I wrote for the Automatic Writing assignment. The theme is there, yet the lines seem independent.
