10/28

In the second piece we have read by Vicente Huidobro called Canto IV or “Altazor”, I must say I did not like it nearly as much as the first creationist piece we had read. I like and appreciate the way the wording of the things he says make everything seem much lighter and has an “elegant” feel about it. However, there are a few sections such as the section talking about swooping, scooping swallows, constantly re ordering and re wording ways to make sentences made it feel like a tongue twister. I already had a head ache before reading the piece and the repetition of those types of words for such a long section didn’t make it feel any better only worse. Yet, his relation of the earth, the sky and the universe in general makes me feel like that same dream like state I felt his work created in the first piece.
