It’s amazing to me that movements such as the Dada movement could be spread throughout so many countries through so many groups of people and yet there is not one central idea. If it did not have a specific meaning behind the movement it seems very interesting that even from city to city the Dada movement could vary and yet be seen as a whole massive movement. I feel like just as in Steins work or many of the other writers we have read about before the Dada writers, they have created this international language that needs no translation because it for the most part is nonsense. In most of the readings we have had the Dada writers have appeared to be much more intellectual and logically thinking but like in Francis Picabia’s “Metal” the words are once again mashed together making strange and illogical sentences.
