I found the beginning of chapter four very interesting when Saper was talking about concrete poetry and using visual poetry to represent their work. It seems to be so basic, but at the same time it’s very difficult to read a poem that uses all images instead of words. It’s not always clear what the writer is trying to portray and that’s part of the process of the poem. The example that Saper gives on page 73 is a poem by A. Leandro, it clearly shows the process that he went through to create the end picture. The idea of concrete poetry and process poems in particular is interesting to me because the reader can really see the process that the artist went through to create the poem, through the images that the artist is providing.
