11/30

I found it interesting in Alan Kaprow’s “Happenings are dead. Long live Happenings” the way they presented this “art form”. I say art form in quotations because it was almost as if they didn’t want to label it as something of the arts but more just something of daily life events. It really interesting how these events really have no rules to them, no form except for that fact that they cannot be rehearsed or prepped. Even though I never really thought about life in that way, as one big art form; it is the one style of art that can’t be judged by critics. It can also be seen in my opinion as the biggest international form of art because it takes no skill what so ever to participate and can occur over large spaces of time and distance.
