So far Networked Art by Craig Saper is really interesting. The ideas that he’s presented and illustrating are very compelling and make sense as a way to share new forms of art. He focuses on the fact that some of the “receivable art” needs to be based on a relationship that the artist has with the person he or she is sending it to in order to understand it. This creates a community of art, or a “network,” that allows people to share art within that specific group. The works that they are sending to one another tend to be works that wouldn’t be able to be published so they send it to their small circle of friends/artists instead.
