Todays readings were very interesting finally we get to see some of the female works of dada, and honestly they delivered in what they were meant to. Rather than showing the complete contradiction that some of the mens works did they had a much clearer voice, but expressed some of the dadaist ideals such as mina loy's O hell in the first stanza she is clearly telling us to delete the past so to free our minds, but in a much different way than Tristian Tzara the immediacy was muted a little bit but the message was not at all. Also to learn about Hoch was very interesting she was a true renaisdsance woman and i actually liked her more domestic crafts, such as her wallpaper, and embroideries or designs at least put in the magazines i wish that was the walllpaper in my room much rather than the completely smoked stain very plain daisies and maple leaves i have now that seem completely squarish and not artistic. Her ability instead to speak about political issues far surpassed the men who simply said their discrepencies out loud she made them into art.
