Tomorrow's reading regarding Hannah Hoch I noticed a definite similarity between Duchamp's work and Hoch's work. Hoch being an influential part of the dad movement it surprised me to read that many of the people within the movement did not tolerate her even though she had very moving pieces essential to the movement era and what the Dadaist were trying to convey. I think after reading Experimental Art article Hannah Hoch would definitely fit into that category because she did something that was unusual by places images together that do not normally fit within the norm of "art". Reading Mina Loy's poetry was also interesting to read they seemed to me very unusual and in some of the poems she was definitely painting a picture for you that you could imagine while reading. Her language while writing seems unusual to the time that we are living in but I think that some of the words could be taken in a different way or have a different meaning then they do now. In "OH Hell" she states, "In the shaft of the Sun". I am wondering what other meaning could this hold?
