*--(10/26)--*
From the very beginning of the novel, its apparent that the writer would employ a self-absorbed and rambling voice; the self reference on page 8, "an irritating read, this novel will annoy the reader like no other, with its false promises and inconclusive and incompatible methodology," makes the style of the book quite clear: stream of consciousness. Like most stream of conscious novels, there is an awful lot of punctuation to slight organize the rambling sentences and tangents (a style that I have found myself using in my own writing). The organization of the book makes it actually a lot easier to read than the author first promised...falsely; The page a day system is rewarding for the reader. I start reading, and I'm on to the next chapter in about five minutes. since the author doesn't edit anything, the freedom of his words often come out to be incredibly witty and unorthodox, like when he narrates for the reader, telling us what we think (generally a praise and interest in the novel).
