I think it is strange how little documented evidence there is of the women involved in Surrealism. It makes sense, as women, especially in this time, weren’t considered as important as the men in their art movement. What's also strange is that some of these important women didn't even really create art, they would just preform experiments and some would just sort of hang around. It's expressive, but not as expressive as it should have been, in my opinion. It wasn't until the 30s that this really started to happen. Women seemed to have a huge influence on the movement as a whole and I find the way that they revolted against the sort of anti women times very interesting.
