Thoughts on the Readings 9/9

I felt there was a lot of reiteration in the futurism articles that we were assigned. Many of the same points were brought up (Forget everything before futurism, don't believe in love, against women's equal rights) but they do talk about how futurism is a force that will repair Venice, which I found interesting. The love of machines was also brought up again but this time expounded upon. There are talks of man and machine coming together which I actually think is happening to some extent.
Once again I think what is being written is sort of ridiculous but I am never the less drawn to it. It is sort of exciting.
The poetry was very odd. Boccioni very much embraces the futurist way of writing with his nonsensical placement of fonts and words.
I have a hard time writing about art like this as I can sometimes feel as if it's my fault for not "getting it" but at the same time I don't want to dismiss it entirely just because it may seem as if it doesn't mean anything. I guess the question is do I think it means anything?
