Response for 9/16

On Suicide Circus I found most of Kruchenykh's poems to be gibberish but I read a few of them that stood out to me today. One being that it seemed he kept mentioning a girl or a woman who he admired perhaps. I thought that was very interesting because I didn't find any meaning in the poems before but it seemed like there was something there in the ones that I read for tomorrow. From the Ironiad many of the poems seemed to mention a woman or a girl. At times they seemed sad and at times they seemed almost as if he was writing a love poem.
Regarding the Russian futurist article I felt a common theme throughout the article that was mentioning the similarities between Italian futurists and Russian futurists. Also I thought it was interesting how Marinetti became the face of the manifesto and then at the end it talked about the Russian's denying Marinetti in a way. Which I didn't quite understand that well. I thought that this was a helpful article to read during this time of the semester because it seemed to answer a lot of questions about what exactly the futurist is at that point in history.
