Futurist Manifesto

"The heat of a piece of iron or wood leaves us more impassioned than the smile or tears of a woman." I thought the ideas regarding contempt for a woman and love for machinery were very strongly put and a little shocking. The idea that lust is the most unnatural thing in the world surprised me, but after some consideration, made sense with the detailed explanation. I really enjoyed Mina Loy's "Aphorisms on Futurism." I thought she had some really well though out ideas that she presented in a clear and straightforward manor. "The futurist must leap from affirmative to affirmative, ignoring intermittent negations - must spring from stepping stone to stone of creative explorations; without slipping back into the turbid stream of accepted facts." This idea stood out in her piece and clearly depicts the ideals of a futurist.
