9/9 Reading Response

"...men and women were neither superior or inferior..." That was one of the quotes that grabbed my attention from the "Manifesto of the Futurist Woman." I really am interested in knowing what people thought of Marinetti's writing back then. In times when men and women were definitely not equal, I could image the negative (or positive) criticism. He is truly a futuristic writer. This was my favorite of the Manifestos. I'm not necessarily a feminist, but I found his writing about men and women being equal extremely interesting. I liked that he didn't think that women needed to have the soft heart, so to say. Women could be strong; to be the Joan of Arc. I'd be very interested in knowing what, if he were a writer of today, other futuristic Manifestos Marinetti would write about.
