9/28
I don’t like to compare the work of the Dada and Stein because they are so vastly different in style, but I must say I prefer the works from the Dada much more. Each poem and section is far more interesting and draws in my attention much more. Not to mention the sentences actually make logical sense rather than piecing together the words to try and figure what she is saying. For whatever reason one of my favorite was song to the dawn, it eeriness sends me the message of a haunting past that has now bewitched him. I’m slightly confused in the section called maybe the last flight but none the less it was interesting to read. I pictured in my mind while reading it a man who has seduced this woman into loving him and with that he has in essence taken her soul and her independence away from her.
