I find Gertrude Stein's "How To Write" very interesting. I like the way Stein goes about writing this how to write guide. She doesn't write it like The Elements of Style or anything like that, it is more, this is how I write, and then infuses examples within it. It is most certainly influenced by the futurists, I think, because of the descriptions of objects. What I do wonder is, why did Stein want to explain her writing style?
The Cubist poems however, are very Futurist influenced. You get the odd subject matter, the playing with placements of words, and the playing with the language. I don't have much else to say on them other than the fact that I liked the word play.
