Jackson Maclow's creative way of constructing poetry is intriguing. His poems do have somewhat of a beat/rhythm they follow. The poem Hear I Here caught my attention because he used words in a way that you had to think farther than the surface to understand what his intentions with the poem were. Another example would be his poem Clear Being. He has a way of putting words together so when you read it, you read it to a beat even when you aren't certain what that beat should be. I like Maclow's poetry better than Kruchenykhs thus far because it makes more sense, even when I don't grasp the full meaning, at least I am able to understand how to read the poem and can make my own meaning of it.
