In Nico Vassilakis’ books it seemed as if he created his images first then created a name for them or it could simply be where the letters are placed as well. For example in the first piece the letters were discolored and looked as though they had some sort of chemical to them, hence the name agent orange. Or in the second piece aqua letter it looks as though the letters could be submerged under water or at least has that style of look to them. I’d have to say out of all his pieces I felt as though Umber drew my attention the most with his mixtures of relaxing colors with others that were much more vibrant.
