After reading “The Garden of Forking Paths” by Jorge Luis Borges I saw many similarities between it and Eterna’s Novel. Both of the two works can be very confusing at times and it’s difficult to understand what exactly is happening because there are so many different layers of the story being presented. This is especially true in Borges’ story because it’s difficult to grasp what’s happening right off the bat. He presents the reader with one story and then all of a sudden in the next paragraph something completely different is happening. It may be difficult to understand at times, but it also makes for an extremely interesting read because it prompts the reader to keep reading to find out what exactly is going to happen in the end since everything is so bizarre and confusing.
