10/7

The poems of Mina Loy are very dream like and fantastical. The poem Lunar Baedeker is a good example of this, “Odious oasis/ in furrowed phosphorous--- / The eye – white sky – light/ white – light district/ of lunar lusts”. The poetry uses very detailed and vivid descriptions which makes the poetry very enjoyable to read. I also like the fact that she changes up the word placement of her poetry quite often. The changes from “Omen of Victory” to “Mass – Production on 14th Street” are very different. The poems remind me a lot of the futurist poetry and that isn't a bad thing.
