10/26

Although Vicente Huidobro’s article, “Creationism”, shows the work of poets I feel have the same sort of mind frames as Gertrude Stein and the Dadaists had in there sporadic sentences. Yet, just as the creationism label of their work projects they are much more creative in describing the events or visions they are seeing. It feels as though they are drawing their work from reality and the dream realm creating images with their words we would love to see but reality will not let us. An example of this is when he says there is “a bird perched on a rainbow”. It’s a fantastic image but due to reality and the scientific ideals that we know of, no such image could be possible. The creationist poets use of words is also what draws the reader in. Unlike using bland words as the bird flew out of the sky they seemed to have dreamy words along the lines of, “a dove comes unglued from the sky”.
