Holy Russian poems batman. I tried to really focus on these poems, but sadly I was at a loss. I have to say though that I enjoyed the fact that the poems are combinations of languages that Kruchonykh may not have even been familiar with. There was something mentioned along the lines of using words from a Georgian language that he did not know at all. I like that, because I can understand why that would be considered fresh and adding a new dimension to poems. The poems seems meaningless, but that could just be that I'm lacking understanding of them. If only I was fluent in Russian, then maybe I could have a better grasp on our readings. It is interesting that some of the poems were sound based and some words picked just for the way they sound. As you read further Kruchonykh was called a minimalist poet and could not go any further. I find that kind of ironic that this avant-garde writer hit a creative wall.
